Container terminal project on Berth 100 provides 2,000 job opportunities

CAIRO - 3 April 2024: A container terminal project on Berth 100, is being implemented in Dekheila Port in Alexandria Port, and is expected to provide more than 2,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.

 

A berth with a length of 1,200 metres, (out of the total length of Berth 100 of 1,680 metres) and a depth of 18 metres, with an area of approximately 840,000 square metres, and a capacity of up to 1.5 million equivalent containers per year.

 

The terminal will allow the reception of giant ships with a length of 400 metres.

 

The rest of the area of Berth 100 will be used for handling general cargo and RORO cargo, with the aim of increasing the capacity for handling containers and goods.
