Sisi: Serving the Egyptian nation is a great honor and duty

CAIRO - 22 July 2017: President Abdel Fatah el-Sisi stressed during the inauguration of the Mohammed Naguib military base on Saturday that the honor of serving the great Egyptian nation is an incomparable honor, as well as a duty.

The President also noted the military has a well-established tradition based on full loyalty to the nation, the Egyptian people have always placed full confidence in their army and the army has always been up to this responsibility.

During the inauguration ceremony of the military base, which was also a celebration of the new military graduates, al-Sisi paid tribute to the martyrs of the army and the police who sacrificed their lives for Egypt to be safe.

The President also pointed out that the building of the Mohammed Naguib military base was the result of other efforts initiated by those who preceded us, “we didn't start from zero, there was an effort that we developed and added to.”

The base, which is located in El Hamam City of Marsa Matrouh, was established to provide joint training with different countries using all modern capacities; it includes 1,155 vital facilities, 72 training areas, a major conference hall, a large number of shooting ranges, and residences for the officers.
