CAIRO – March 31, 2024: The new Palestinian government led by Mohamed Mustafa was sworn in before President Mahmoud Abbas “Abu Mazen,"  Al Qahera News reported.

Afterward, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that the duties of the new government include the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, with full powers.

He added that the government must prepare to hold legislative and presidential elections in all governorates, especially East Jerusalem.

The formation of the new government coincided with media speculation regarding the potential transfer of governance of the Gaza Strip from the Hamas movement to the Palestinian Authority after the end of the Israeli genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.
