On November 6, 2023, Shoukry discussed with Singapore and Romania counterparts the ongoing war in Gaza Strip. During a phone call with Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, Shoukry covered in detail the tragic humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, and the humanitarian shock that everyone feels.
Economically, the fifth round of political consultations between Egypt and Singapore took place in Cairo on February 5, 2024 as the latter's delegation expressed willingness to plan a visit for business people to get informed on investment opportunities in tourism, hospitality, and banking.
On the other hand, Egyptian diplomats said they looked forward to benefiting from the Singaporean experience in civil aviation, maritime transport, and port management. The two sides equally exchanged views on major international and regional affairs of joint interest.
