First Lady Greets Egyptian Mothers on Mother's Day

 

On her official Facebook page, the First Lady said: “To the wise companion and friend, the source we rely on for support throughout our lives, the one whose feelings overflow devoid of any interests, to every mother and every woman, many happy returns.”

 

Mother’s Day is a significant day in Egypt. The T.V. and radio usually dedicate segments to mothers, and the state holds the “ideal mother” competition. A ceremony is held on Mother’s Day to give the awards to the winning mothers.
