Egypt’s First Lady Entissar Al-Sisi remembers ‘epic’ of 1973 victory

 

“Today we celebrate the anniversary of the victory of the Tenth of Ramadan, a milestone in the modern history of Egypt. On this blessed day, our armed forces presented a great military and national epic of which generations are proud," the First Lady said.

 

"It was and still is a source of pride for the entire Arab nation.

Long live Egypt, a dear and proud homeland," she added.

 

The October 6, 1973 war coincided with the 10th of Ramadan. Hence, Egyptians remember the victory on both dates, which only coincide every 30 years.
