Egypt condemns terrorist attack on hotel in Mogadishu

CAIRO – 16 March 2024: Egypt condemned the terrorist attack on a hotel in Mogadishu, expressing condolences to Somalia and the victims' families.

Egypt reaffirmed support for Somalia against destabilizing forces, condemning violence, extremism, and terrorism, and calling for international cooperation to combat them.

The attack by the Al Shabab movement near the presidential palace resulted in at least three deaths and 27 injuries.
