In statements carried by AKI news agency on Friday, Tajani said the Italian people wants peace that can be achieved by mediators, notably Egypt.

The Italian top diplomat called for stopping further bloodshed of Israeli and Palestinian civilians.

Regarding the illegal migration, Tajani said Italy and the EU seek to bring about Africa's stability and development through investing on this continent from which many migrants leave for Europe.
