Egypt's temperature to drop by 10 degrees as of Monday: Climate Center

CAIRO - 13 March 2024: The Climate Information Center at the Ministry of Agriculture and Reclamation warned of weather fluctuation, where Egypt is expected to witness a drop in temperature degrees as of Monday, after a heat wave over the past days. 

 

Dr. Muhammad Ali Fahim, head of the Climate Information Center, said that the weather is unstable at this time of the year, and weather swings are expected. 

 

Fahim added that there is a cold northern mass again, starting next Sunday, March 17, in the north, and then extending south after that, causing a significant drop in temperature starting next Monday in the north of the Republic, Lower Egypt, and Cairo.

 

Fahim explained that the drop in temperature starting next Tuesday will be significant and sudden, reaching 10°C at night in Lower Egypt and northern Upper Egypt again.

 

Fahim pointed out that there is a great danger to fruit trees that are heading toward fertilization and the beginning of fruition due to the high temperature during the day and the fall of young fruit trees.
