PM heads to St. Catherine to oversee final stages of South Sinai’s Great Transfiguration project

CAIRO – 10 March 2024: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli traveled to South Sinai’s magnificent Saint Catherine city on Sunday to supervise the final phases of the implementation of the Great Transfiguration Project.

The project aims to transform the sacred mountainous region into a spiritual sanctuary and a sought-after destination for mountain, medical, and environmental tourism.

The project focuses on the city's redesign and aims to preserve it as a natural reserve. Implementation of the project adheres to sustainable development standards.

The project, first announced in 2020, aims to turn this unique spot, a meeting point of religions and a land for peace, into a global destination for visitors from all over the world.
