CAIRO – February 26, 2024: Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq engaged in a series of bilateral meetings with his Arab counterparts during the 41st session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council in the Tunisian capital on Monday.
He held discussions with counterparts from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Tunisia, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, Qatar, Jordan, as well as with the president of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).
The meetings focused on enhancing and refining mechanisms for security cooperation in light of the unprecedented challenges stemming from current global political and economic conditions, and their ramifications for security across Arab nations.
Furthermore, the gatherings addressed regional developments and strategies to combat terrorism and organized crime, which pose significant threats to Arab countries.
