Egypt’s police arrest defendants accused of killing Yemeni man in less than 24 hours of crime

CAIRO – 19 February 2024: Egypt’s Ministry of Interior managed to arrest defendants, who are charged with killing a Yemeni man in Giza in less than 24 hours after the incident.

A man reported to the ministry of Interior on February 18 that he found his brother killed inside his apartment after trying to reach out for him without response in the last two days.

After investigating, the police identified the involved criminals who killed the man and stole amounts of money, foreign currencies, some personal belongings along with a rented car near to the incident location.

The police identified the criminals as following: “Ramadan Muhammad, age 29, with a previous record of crimes, Abdul Rahman Ashraf Shehata Mustafa, age 19, Israa Saber Mohamed, age 22, a housewife, Suheir Abdel Halim Muhammad age 17, a housewife.”

After being confronted by the police forces, the defendants committed the incident and committing the whole crime.

They said that they tried to put sleeping pills into his drink to enable others to enter his apartment and steel him. However, when the criminals arrived the victim was still conscious and fought them back which led to his murder. The criminals then stole him and ran away.

All stolen possessions were confiscated by police, as all security measures were taken by the Public Prosecution.
