Israeli forces commit 9 new massacres, raising Gaza death toll to 28,858

CAIRO - 17 February 2024: The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported on Saturday that the Israeli occupation forces committed 9 massacres in the territory, resulting in 83 deaths and 125 injuries in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry's statement highlighted that this count does not include victims under the rubble or on the streets, as the occupation forces are preventing emergency and civil defense teams from reaching them.

With this update, the toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 28,858 fatalities and 68,677 injuries since October 7th, the date of "Al-Qassam's Flood".

The Ministry also noted that Israeli forces are still detaining a significant number of medical staff from inside the Nasser Medical Complex, which has been converted into a military barracks.

Earlier today, explosions were heard in Ashkelon following the activation of warning sirens in the area, due to rocket fire from resistance factions in the Strip towards Israel.
