Egyptian FM heads to Nicosia to meet Cypriot president

CAIRO – 8 February 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry headed Thursday to the Cypriot capital, Nicosia, to hold consultations on regional and international developments as well as follow up on joint projects.

The minister will meet with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides and his counterpart Constantinos Kombos to discuss bilateral cooperation in various fields as well as the crisis in Gaza Strip.

Minister Shokry participated in a tripartite meeting with his Cypriot and Greek counterparts in September on the sidelines of UNGA78 as they held talks on the progress rate of joint projects in the sectors of gas, electricity, tourism, transportation, port twinning and agriculture among others.
