CAIRO –7 February 2024: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi received a phone call from Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, where they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields.
During the call, both leaders also discussed developments in the regional situation and the escalation the region is witnessing, especially Egyptian efforts to communicate with all parties to push for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, in a way that protects the region from the expansion of the conflict.
