Egypt’s Defense Minister, Chief of Staff offer greeting to Minister of Interior on Police Day

CAIRO – 29 January 2024: Egyptian Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfiq met, on Monday, with Defense and Military Production Minister Mohamed Zaki and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Osama Askar, who extended their greetings on the occasion of Police Day.

The defense minister praised the heroic battle of Ismailia in 1952, as it reflected cooperation and solidarity of the Egyptian people with the police in their fight against terrorism and crime plots.

On his part, the interior minister said that the army personnel will remain a symbol of the nation’s pride as they sacrifice their lives and blood for their homeland.

 The meeting was attended by senior leaders of the army and the police force.
