Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, EU share 'identical' viewpoint on Gaza: AL chief

CAIRO – 22 January 2024: Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit said that Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and EU share almost identical viewpoint on the necessity of reaching a ceasefire in Gaza.

This came during a meeting held on Monday between the foreign ministers of Jordan and Saudi Arabia and the EU.

On his "X'' account, Abul Gheit said that the identical viewpoint is related to the Gaza Strip and the necessity of putting an end to the Israeli war along with reaching a political solution, which leads to implementing the two-state solution.

"We need to engage in more dialogue at the various levels to reach the required Arab-European consensus," he added
