Collective burial of dead bodies of Palestinians killed due to continous Israel bombardement of the Gaza strip
CAIRO - 15 January 2024: The Secretary-General of the Norwegian Refugee Council said that the residents of Gaza were subjected, in the past 100 days, to one of the worst humanitarian crises facing civilians in the current century.
“The world has never witnessed such a number of people trapped in the Gaza Strip under intense bombardment for a long period,” Al-Qahera News TV channel quoted the secretary.
The toll of the ongoing, intense and unprecedented Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip by land, sea and air since the seventh of last October has risen to more than 23,000 martyrs, and about 60,000 injured, in addition to thousands of missing persons, where 70 percent of whom are children and women.
Thousands of martyrs and wounded have still not been recovered from under the rubble due to the continued Israeli bombardement of the strip, and the seriousness of the field conditions, in light of a stifling siege of the Gaza Strip and severe restrictions on the entry of fuel and urgent vital aid to alleviate the catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
