CAIRO – 5 January 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi delegates Hossam Zaatar, Secretary of the Presidency, to the Coptic Evangelical community to congratulate and attend the celebration of Christmas.

 

 

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi wished Egyptian Copts abroad a merry Christmas, on Thursday, the state-owned news agency MENA reported.

 

 

In a cable of greetings posted by all Egyptian embassies on social media platforms, President also wished that Egypt would realize more progress and prosperity.

 

 

“It is my great pleasure to send you my most heartfelt congratulations and sincere wishes on the occasion of the Merry Christmas celebration. I take this good occasion to express my wishes to you for continued success. I pray to God Almighty to make it a happy and blessed feast.”

 

 

Christmas in Egypt is observed on January 7, following the Julian calendar, in line with Orthodox churches worldwide.
