President Sisi receives phone call from president of Comoros

CAIRO – 3 January 2024: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a telephone call from Azali Assoumani of the Comoros Wednesday.

The two leaders discussed means of boosting bilateral relations in all fields, said presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.

He added that they also talked about conditions in Africa since the Comoros is the current president of the African Union.

Sisi said Egypt appreciates activities of the AU under the presidency of the Comoros, Fahmy noted.

The two leaders also reviewed efforts meant to achieve peace and security in the continent, stressing the need to unify action to enhance stability and development in Africa, the spokesman said.
