Egypt raises minimum, maximum values of pensions

CAIRO – 17 December 2023: Chairman of the Social Insurance Authority Gamal Awad announced Sunday that the minimum and maximum values of pensions were raised to become LE1,300 and LE10,080 up from LE1,105 and LE8,720, respectively.

Further, the minimum and maximum wages eligible for social insurance subscription had been raised to LE2,000 and LE12,600 up from LE1,700 and LE10,900, respectively.

Earlier this year, the minimum wages of the public and private sector employees were raised to LE3,500 and LE3,000, respectively.
