What to know about Egypt's 2nd phase of early tumor detection initiative

CAIRO - 13 December 2023: In this article, et reviews all details of the second phase of early detection of tumors initiative that was launched in Egypt on Wednesday.

 

In the below lines, et highlights the details and the services provided therein:

 

1- The initiative is launched in 9 governorates across the Republic as part of the second phase.

 

2- The initiative includes the governorates of (Cairo, Menoufia, Red Sea, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sohag, Ismailia, Beni Suef, North Sinai, and Luxor).

 

3- The first phase included the governorates of: (Alexandria, Beheira, Matrouh, Damietta, Qalyubia, Fayoum, Assiut, South Sinai, and Port Said).

 

4- The initiative to detect cancerous tumors targets citizens aged 18 years and over.

 

5- Inquiries regarding the President of the Republic’s initiative for early detection of cancerous tumors are answered through the hotline 15335.
