Egyptians in Paris express their voices on the first day of the 2024 Presidential Elections for expatriates.
CAIRO – 2 December 2023: It is Sunday, past 9 AM, in New Zealand now and the third day of voting in the 2024 Presidential Elections for Egyptians there has started.
Meanwhile, the second day of voting in the presidential elections abroad continues in many countries until 9 PM according to each country’s local time.
A large number of Egyptian expats have flocked to embassies and consulates in 121 countries to express their will.
The National Election authority published a list of the addresses of embassies and consulates where registered voters can cast their ballot. Here is the list.
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said the operations room of the ministry is following up the voting process for Egyptian expats in all polling stations in the Egyptian embassies and consulates across the world.
In a post on his X account on Saturday, Abu Zeid said that voting in the presidential election is continuing smoothly for the second day in a row, adding that there is a high turnout by members of the Egyptian expat communities desiring to exercise their constitutional rights.
The marathon is held between four contenders, including incumbent President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party Farid Zahran, President of Al Wafd Party Abdel-Sanad Yamama, and President of the Republican People's Party Hazem Omar.
The final result will be announced on December 18 if no run-off is required. Voting inside the country will take place from 10-12 December.
