CAIRO 20 July 2017: A number of African and European non-governmental organizations have contacted Maat for Peace, Development and Human Rightsto follow up the 2018 presidential elections, according to the head of the foundation Ayman Okeial on Thursday.
Okeial explained that organizations have expressed interest to work with his foundation on following up the elections, adding thata number of international partners have already discussed with Maat’s team ways of following up the elections.
“We have not yet decided on our partners, but we are convinced that whether they are local or international partners, this is our file that we will work on it regardless of partners or funds”, he added.
Okeial concluded thatjoining Maat will be in accordance with the rules set by the institution within the framework of the law and the Egyptian Constitution.
The presidential elections of 2018 will start in February and end in May. It will be the third presidential election since the January 25 Revolution in 2011.
