Bahrain targets to double trade exchange with Egypt, expand investments

CAIRO – 23 November 2023: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli received Thursday Bahraini Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman Bin Khalifa al-Khalifa to discuss cooperation.

The meeting comes in tandem with holding another among the ministers of both countries to bolster collaboration in the sectors of trade, investment, academia, scientific research, and technology. Also, MoUs are being drafted to implement certain projects.

The Bahraini minister expressed desire to double the size of trade exchange between the two countries from $0.5 billion to $1 billion per annum. He also stated that Bahraini investors eye the sectors of aluminum processing, courier, and ICT.
