CAIRO - 19 November 2023: Three Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli forces Sunday in the West Bank, according to the local Red Crescent.
The Cairo News channel correspondent said the Israeli attacks on the area aim to displace Palestinians from the West Bank amid the focus on the invasion of Gaza.
Meanwhile in Jerusalem, Jewish settlers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque on Sunday under the protection of Israeli forces, which instead prevented Palestinian from entering the mosque. The repetitive settler raids on the holy mosque seek to divide it, the way the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron has been. The latter mosque is known amongst Israelis as the Cave of Machpelah.
After violent clashes, the Israeli forces withdrew from Jenin city and its refugee camp, Cairo News channel reported.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa), Israeli forces and a military bulldozer had stormed the city of Jenin on Sunday.
Eyewitnesses told Wafa the forces were deployed in a number of neighborhoods in the city and set snipers on rooftops.
Wafa reported that violent confrontations took place between Palestinians civilians and Israeli forces in Jenin.
The stormed neighborhoods include Wadi Izz al-Din, al-Bayader, al-Hadaf, al-Zahraa neighborhood, Haifa Street, and Jenin Street - Nablus, where they set up a military checkpoint.
Violent clashes also broke out between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces in Beit Lahia and Zaytoun neighborhoods.
