Egyptian president discusses Gaza crisis with French Armed Forces minister

CAIRO – 15 November 2023: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received Wednesday French Minister of the Armed Forces Sebastian Lecornu in the presence of Minister of Defense Major-General Mohamed Zaki.

The French minister delivered the greetings of President Emmanuel Macron and lauding the growing bilateral ties in all fields, expressing keenness on further bolstering them, particularly on the military level.

The meeting also tackled regional circumstances, precisely the Gaza crisis, so as the two sides underlined the importance of avoiding the expansion of the conflict's scope and escalation.

The president sent his greetings to his French counterpart, and presented Egyptian endeavors aimed at reaching a ceasefire, delivering humanitarian aid, evacuating dual nationals, and receiving Palestinian injured, and that were valued by Minister Lecornu.
