Egyptian FM: Reaching an immediate ceasefire in Gaza is a must

CAIRO – 13 November 2023: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stressed that reaching an immediate ceasefire and ending the tragic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is a must.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister’s comments were given during a phone call with his German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, said the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid on his “X”.

The two ministers exchanged visions and views on the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, delivering adequate humanitarian aid to the Strip, and preventing the expansion of the conflict.

Shoukry has called several times for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and full access to humanitarian and relief aid.

In its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, Israel has killed 11,240 martyrs, including 4,630 children, said the Palestinian Ministry of Health on Monday.
