Egyptian, South Sudanese presidents hold talks in Cairo

CAIRO – 6 November 2023: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Monday his South Sudanese counterpart, President Salva Kiir, in Al-Ittihadiya Palace, Cairo.

Kiir is in Egypt for talks with the Egyptian president. Further details about their discussions have not yet been revealed.

Kiir’s visit to Egypt comes at a sensitive time in the region with the Israeli war in Gaza spanning a month and the war in Sudan running for four months since mid-April.
