CAIRO – 3 November 2023: Egypt's Mufti Shawqi Allam has strongly condemned the Israeli brutal bombing of the main entrance of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza city, in addition to its targeting of an ambulance convoy that was at the scene, which resulted in killing and injuring a number of Palestinians.
In a statement released on Friday, the Mufti deplored the increasing Israeli attacks on Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, describing those Israeli crimes as "full-fledged war crimes".
"Those heinous crimes and brutal acts of aggression are added to the series of Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people, who are demanding their legitimate rights, while the occupying forces violate international law and humanitarian principles amid complete silence from the international community," the mufti stated.
He called on the international community to immediately intervene for stopping the ruthless Israeli attacks on Palestinians and civilian facilities, and putting an end to the collective punishment policy pursued by the occupying Israeli entity against the struggling Palestinian people.
