CAIRO – 3 November 2023: Israel targeted on Friday an ambulance in front of Al Shifa Medical Complex, which was transporting wounded individuals. The bombing led to the killing of at least 60 Palestinian according to Gaza Ministry of Health spokesperson, Ashraf Qudra.

The Israeli strikes also targeted the vicinity of Al-Quds and the Indonesian hospitals in Gaza. All three bombings resulted in hundreds of casualties and wounded, which is considered to be ‘war crime’ according to the international human rights conventions.

Both of Al Quds and the Indonesian hospitals suffered a lot of destruction as a result of the bombing.

The medical sector in Gaza have been reported more than once to be almost ‘collapsed’ by UN officials.

The International Committee of the Red Cross said in statement following the Israeli bombing that ambulances and medical facilities are supposed to be protected by the international law.

The statement added that the Red Cross teams are in Gaza to work to prevent the collapse of the health sector.

‘We wished we had shields to protect ambulance convoys’ the Red Cross stated.

The International Committee added that the health sector in Gaza is facing an ‘imminent catastrophe’ that did not occur before.

The number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip rose, Friday, to 9,227, including 3,670 children and nearly 23,000 wounded, as a result of the continuous Israeli bombing of the Strip since October 7.

During the past period, Israel have committed several war crimes, breaching all international law conventions. And amid these massacres committed against civilians, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denied reaching any humanitarian true or even allowing fuel to cross for the hospitals.

On Tuesday The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said on that the Israeli army committed a massacre in Jabaliya, in the northern Gaza Strip, leaving hundreds of people killed and injured.

The Ministry indicated that, according to a preliminary estimation, there were 400 casualties, including killed and injured.

Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry in Gaza said that the Jabalyia camp was bombed with 6 bombs, each weighing a ton of explosives.

Egypt strongly condemned in a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Tuesday the Israeli "inhumane" attack on Jabaliya camp, in the northern Gaza Strip, leaving according to a preliminary estimation, 400 casualties, including killed and injured.

Egypt considered this act a new flagrant violation by the Israeli forces of the provisions of international law, which increases the complexity of the current crisis and portends grave dangers at all levels.

Journalists along with their families were targeted deliberately.

On October 26, The Egyptian Journalists Syndicate condemned in the strongest terms the heinous and continuing terrorist crime committed by the Zionist occupation forces against Palestinian journalists.

The sydnicate said that in one day alone [October 26], the Israeli attacks have killed three journalists, and three members of the family of Journalist Wael el-Dahdouh, including his wife, daughter and son, as a result of a violent bombing that targeted a house where they were sheltering in Wadi Gaza, which is one of the areas, to which the Israeli occupation requested the transfer of residents.

The Egyptian Journalists Syndicate saluted the heroism of colleagues in Palestine who insisted on continuing to work and perform their professional and patriotic duty in conveying the truth under the terror of Zionist missiles, and the extremely harsh conditions, where they, their families and their homes were targeted by a brutal war machine in one of the most heinous war crimes against journalists.

WHO Representative in Egypt Dr. Naeema Al-Gasseer stated in a phone-in later on October 29, that 64 percent of healthcare facilities in Gaza Strip had gone out of service and that seven major hospitals had received evacuation notice.

In its last situation report, the UNRWA highlighted that eight out of its 22 health centers in Gaza are still operating in the Middle Area, Khan Younis, and Rafah, and that provided 3,950 patients with basic medical services on October 26. In addition, the organization has set up 95 mobile medical units and medical teams, which treated 9,900 individuals in shelters.

Director of the New York office of the UN high commissioner for human rights, Craig Mokhiber, has resigned from his post, protesting that the UN is “failing” in its duty to prevent what he categorizes as genocide of Palestinian civilians in Gaza under Israeli bombardment and citing the US, UK and much of Europe as “wholly complicit in the horrific assault”.

Mokhiber wrote on 28 October to the UN high commissioner in Geneva, Volker Turk, saying: “This will be my last communication to you” in his role in New York.

Mokhiber wrote: “Once again we are seeing a genocide unfolding before our eyes and the organization, we serve appears powerless to stop it.”

e said that the UN had failed to prevent previous genocides against the Tutsis in Rwanda, Muslims in Bosnia, the Yazidi in Iraq and the Rohingya in Myanmar and wrote: “High Commissioner we are failing again.

“The current wholesale slaughter of the Palestinian people, rooted in an ethno-nationalist colonial settler ideology, in continuation of decades of their systematic persecution and purging, based entirely upon their status as Arabs … leaves no room for doubt.”

Mokhiber added: “This is text book case of genocide” and said the US, UK and much of Europe were not only “refusing to meet their treaty obligations” under the Geneva Conventions but were also arming Israel’s assault and providing political and diplomatic cover for it.

“We must support the establishment of a single, democratic secular state in all of historic Palestine, with equal rights for Christians, Muslims, and Jews,” he wrote, adding: “and, therefore, the dismantling of the deeply racist, settler-colonial project and an end to apartheid across the land.”
