CAIRO – 31 October 2023: Egypt strongly condemned in a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Tuesday the Israeli "inhumane" attack on Jabaliya camp, in the northern Gaza Strip, leaving according to a preliminary estimation, 400 casualties, including killed and injured.
Egypt considered this act a new flagrant violation by the Israeli forces of the provisions of international law, which increases the complexity of the current crisis and portends grave dangers at all levels.
Egypt also warned of the grave consequences of the continuation of such indiscriminate attacks targeting innocent civilians in their places of shelter and around the medical centers and hospitals to which they seek refuge to escape the violent and continuous Israeli bombing, without any regard for the lives, and in a way that exacerbates the crisis and deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
Egypt also called on all countries and international parties to condemn such attacks and to immediately stop them.
It further urged the international community to assume its responsibility to provide the necessary protection for Palestinian civilians, stressing the need for all international efforts to join forces to ensure safe, complete and sustainable access to humanitarian and relief aid, to alleviate the burden of the humanitarian plight suffered by the Palestinian people in Gaza
