Gaza under Israeli aggression - file
CAIRO - 28 October 2023: Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Catherine Russell, expressed the organization's concern about the terror that one million children are experiencing under the bombardment in Gaza as a result of the continuous bombing carried out by the Israeli occupation forces.
Russell pointed out that the UNICEF has lost contact with the organization's workers in Gaza, expressing concern on their “safety.”
The Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) stressed the need to protect all children, families and the humanitarian workers who support them.
Meanwhile, the Executive Director of UN Women, Sima Bahouth, said that the agency had lost contact with its team in Gaza. She expressed grave concern about the safety of them and their families.
The UN Women official added that they had already lived through horrific events during 21 days, and now they were facing another night of bombing and terror. She stressed the need for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire.
