More than 45 injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road
CAIRO - 27 October 2023: The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that a total of 32 were killed and 63 others were injured as a result of a multi-vehicle collision that took place on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road Saturday.
A total of three mass transit buses and 10 private cars were charred on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road, as a result of the collision.
The injured were transfered to different hospitals to receive the necessary treatment.
The General Traffic Department received a report stating that a traffic accident had occurred at the top of the desert road, kilometer number 134, coming from Alexandria towards Cairo.
The Ministry of Health and Population deployed 20 ambulances to help those injured in the traffic accident that occurred this Saturday morning.
