CAIRO - 20 October 2023: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from the French President Emmanuel Macron Friday, where the two presidents discussed the latest developments in the current military escalation in the Gaza Strip, and efforts to contain the situation.
The French President praised Egypt's efforts in this regard, especially its leadership role in coordinating the delivery of humanitarian aid to the sector.
The two presidents stressed the utmost necessity to ensure the flow of aid in a way that limits the deterioration of the humanitarian conditions in Gaza. They also agreed on the seriousness of the current situation, especially in light of the uncalculated consequences of expanding the circle of conflict on the stability of the region.
