Egypt’s Senate expresses full support for President Sisi’s stance rejecting Palestinian displacement

CAIRO – 18 October 2023: President of the Senate Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razeq affirmed on Wednesday Egypt’s Senate full support for President Abdel Fattah al Sisi stance and all measures he takes to protect the Egyptian boarders and the Palestinian cause.

In an emergency session for Egypt's Senate regarding developments in Gaza strip, the Senate condemned the Israeli violations in Gaza and considered it a 'genocide'.

Abdel-Razeq called on the world’s parliaments to condemn the Israeli aggression and assume their duties in protecting the Palestinian people and pushing Israel to allow the hamartian aid to enter the Gaza Strip.

Members from different political currents and parties confirmed their full support for President Abdel Fattah al Sisi’s stance and gave him all needed authorities to take any needed measures to preserve Egyptian national security and for the favor of Palestinian cause.

Deputy Speaker of the Egyptian Senate, Phoebe Fawzy affirmed in her speech during the session that Egyptians will not give up a single inch of their land.

“We stress that Israel's proposal to displace the Palestinians in Sinai is a ‘corrupted proposal’.”

Also, representative Hossam Al-Khouly, Vice President of Mostaqbal Watan Party said that the Palestinian cause will not end except with a ‘just solution’.

“What is happening Gaza now is a ‘genocide’, which is something that humanity grieves about, the humanity that we know, not the humanity that the West knows.” Al-Khouly said.

Representative of the National Progressive Unionist Party at the Senate condemned in his statements the Israeli-American siege on the Palestinian people and demanded the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador in Cairo.

He announced “complete support fir President Sisi’s stance rejecting the forced displacement of Palestinians.”

“We also call for the formation of a committee to document the crimes committed against the Palestinian people and submit them to the United Nations Human Rights Committee to prosecute the criminals who committed it.”

Egyptian actor, member of the Senate’s Culture, Media and Antiquities Committee Yahya Al-Fakharani thanked President Sisi for his wisdom, strength, and foresight.

“It’s true that always must stay stronger than our enemies, no matter what. I thank God that we are stronger than our enemies today.” Fakharani said.
