CAIRO – 18 October 2023: The National Coalition for Civil and Developmental Work organized Wednesday a protest, where members put on black clothes, in front of Rafah Crossing to call on peoples worldwide to pressure their governments to intervene to stop the killing in Gaza Strip and deliver humanitarian aid.

Members of the coalition called on social media users to share the tag of "Holding Out Until Aid Is Delivered," and to condemn the killing. They also performed prayers in absentia on the souls of Palestinian victims who have been falling since the outbreak of military confrontations on October 7.

Protests also took place in Mansoura University, Medical School of Cairo University, Alexandria University and the American University in Cairo as well as in the headquarters of the Journalists Syndicate and Actors Syndicate.

The coalition's statement comes as part of dozens others released by parties, unions, and various institutions to condemn the cruel Israeli strikes on the tiny enclave of Gaza, killing thousands of women, children, and civilians.

The more pictures and videos that come out of Gaza showing bloody and charred bodies of babies, toddlers, and children of all ages, the more the uproar amongst political and civil institutions, triggering protests in the country.
