United Media Services backs Sisi’s rejection of Palestinian displacement

CAIRO - 18 October 2023: The United Media Services said in a Wednesday statement that it supports President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s position on Gaza, which reflects the long-standing stance of all Egyptians.

In a press conference earlier, Sisi said Israel’s apparent tactic to displace Palestinians in Sinai is not acceptable or enforceable and would only expand the area of conflict. 

He said such a move would also be applied on Palestinians in the West Bank to be displaced in Jordan, and then attacks would be launched on Israel from the two countries. Then Israel would have put an end to the peace treaties with two of its neighbors.

Instead, Israel, which is the entity responsible for the civilians in Gaza according to international law, may move them to Negev desert until it finishes its operation in Gaza, Sisi suggested.

United Media Services reiterated Sisi’s words that displacing Palestinians eliminates the Palestinian cause, which no Egyptian would accept.
