CAIRO- 17 October 2023:  Egypt’s Al Karama Party condemned on Tuesday the Israeli massacre that was committed at Gaza Baptist Hospital, confirming that Palestinians are being subjected to ‘genocide’ amid the silence and complicity of the international community.

In its statement Al Karama Party said that the bombing which led to the deaths of hundreds, including women and children, reaffirms the ‘brutality and meanness’ of Israel, and confirms that its true goals are to uproot the Palestinians from their land and replace them with settlers, even if that is through ethnic cleansing and genocide.

“We in al Karam Party express our deep disappointment with the silence of the Arab leaders on these massacres, and we affirm our inadmissibility of their negligent stance towards the ongoing aggression, which is a flagrant violation of international law, especially international conventions that explicitly prohibit attacks on medical facilities and civilians even in times of war.” Al Karama Party stated.

Al Karama Party is an Egyptian left-wing Nasserist political party that was founded in 1996.

On Tuesday, Israel bombed Gaza Baptist Hospital where thousands of displaced Palestinians took refuge, killing up to 500 people.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared three days of mourning, and ordered that flags be flown at half-mast in mourning for the victims of the Israeli aggression on al-Ahli hospital and for all the people killed.

Palestinian Minister of Health said that the bombing of Gaza Baptist Hospital is a ‘genocide’.

‘We appeal to the international community to protect the Palestinian people’ the minster said.

She added that the health sector in Gaza is on the verge of collapse, noting that services are running out and Israel has been deliberately targeting hospitals.

Egypt strongly condemned the Israeli bombing of al Ahly Baptist Hospital in Gaza resulting in killing hundreds of innocent Palestinian civilians.

Egypt considered this ‘deliberate bombing’ of civilians a serious violation for the international, humanitarian law, and of the most basic values of humanity.

Egypt also called on Israel to immediately stop its policies of collective punishment against the people in Gaza Strip.

The statement issued by Egypt’s foreign Ministry called on all countries of the world, to intervene to stop these violations and demands the Israeli forces to stop targeting Rafah crossing to enable the entry humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip as quickly as possible.
