CAIRO - 12 October 2023: The Civil Democratic Movement held a public conference to support the Palestinian people in their resistence, and the Egyptian state's moves to support the Palestinian case. The conference was held at the headquarters of the Conservative Party Wednesday evening.
During the conference, the leaders of the Civil Movement parties and the participants paid tribute to the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their honorable resistance in the face of Israeli aggression. They further launched a fundraising campaign in support of Palestinian brothers.
The speakers stressed that what the heroic Palestinian people are doing is a legal, legitimate and human right to resist the occupation of their land.
The participants, leaders of the movement’s parties, and guests also stressed that the conference celebrates what the resistance accomplished, which was achieved on October 7, 2023, and described it as "an extension of a great victory for the Egyptian and Arab people that occurred on October 6, 1973."
The audience stressed that Egypt is a party in the Arab-Israeli conflict and is an original partner in resisting the Israeli entity.
Hamas' Qassam Brigades launched Saturday an offensive on Israeli settlements on the occupied lands by firing 5,000 missiles in 20 minutes, invoking airstrikes on Gaza Strip and incurring scores of casualties on both sides as confrontations have not ceased until present.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health indicated Thursday the figures of deaths and injuries in Gaza Strip and the West Bank. In the former, they recorded 1,354 and 6,049, respectively. In the latter, they amounted 31 and 180, respectively.
The Civil Democratic Movement is a liberal political movement formed in Egypt in 2017.
