President Sisi undergoes medical check for Egypt’s 2024 presidential race

CAIRO – 7 October 2023: Incumbent President Abdel Fattah El Sisi undergoes a medical examination at the Administrative Capital Hospital on Saturday, in preparation for submitting all papers required to run for another term in Presidency.

 

The medical check is one of the criteria that required to make candidates eligible for the presidential race.

The election campaign for presidential candidate Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced that it will be launched officially on Saturday in a press conference.

 

The details of the nomination procedures and related issues will be also announced during the press conference.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi appointed Mahmoud Fawzi as head of Sisi’s electoral campaign and its legal advisor in the upcoming 2024 presidential elections, President Sisi announced on his official Facebook account.

 

President Abdel Fattah Sisi announced, on Monday, his nomination for the Egyptian 2024 presidential election due to convene on December 10, 11, 12.

"As I have heeded the call of the Egyptians before, today, I answer their call again. I have decided to nominate myself to complete the dream in a new presidential term. I promise you, God willing, it will be a continuation of our joint efforts for the benefit of Egypt and its people,” President Sisi said at the closing session of a three-day conference “Story of A Homeland.”
