Egyptian dermatology expert makes stanford University's top scientist list

CAIRO - 6 October 2023: Stanford University in the United States has, for the third consecutive year, selected Dr. Mohamed Lotfy El-Saai, a professor of dermatology and venereology at the National Research Center and a member of the Senate Health Committee, for its list of the top 2% of the world's most cited scientists in the field of dermatology for the current year 2023.

El-Saai expressed his happiness and pride at this recognition and praised the recognition that this achievement brings to Egypt on the international scientific stage.

He explained that Stanford University had compiled a list of the top 2% of the world's most cited scientists in various fields based on the Scopus database, considering standardized citation metrics, citation count, H-index, and collaborative research. This report was published by Elsevier International Publishing on October 4th of the current year.

El-Saai has received numerous international and local awards and honors, including the Encouragement State Award on two occasions. He has also been awarded the African Union Prize in Sciences and was honored with the First-Class Medal of Excellence in 2017.
