Egypt's nationwide 100 Healthy Days campaign provides healthcare services to citizens - Ministry of Health
CAIRO – 5 October 2023: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ordered extending the "100 Healthy Days" check-up campaign, which targets all population, for another 100 days.
As per the decision, the campaign, which expired on Tuesday, is expected to last until mid-January 2024 to serve the 105-million population.
Over the past 100 days, the campaign has provided more than 36.89 million services nationwide, Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said on Thursday.
He noted that the extension aims to enable the campaign to provide services on a wider scale in a way that achieves the greatest benefit for citizens.
How the campaign serves you
The campaign uses mobile clinics and health centers nationwide to provide early detection and free treatment services for citizens and foreigners residing in Egypt with regard to chronic diseases and cancer.
This includes early detection of hearing impairment and genetic disorders in newborns, Hepatitis C, renal failure and carcinomas.
The campaign runs every day from 9 AM to 9 PM with trained medical cadres serving citizens. The services are provided for free.
Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and the health minister launched the campaign on 25 June.
The campaign aims to intensify the objectives of the national healthcare initiatives under the broader “100 Million Healthy Lives” presidential initiative.
