CAIRO - 2 October 2023: Minister of Manpower Hassan Shehata, announced that next Thursday, October 5, 2023, will be an official paid holiday for workers in the private sector on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the glorious October victories.
 
This come in light of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 3675 of 2023, which includes workers in ministries, government departments, public bodies, local administration units, public sector companies, the public business sector, and the private sector.
 
Shehata said that this leave is a full paid vacation for workers subject to Law No. 12 of 2003. The employer may employ the worker on this day if work conditions require it, and in this case the worker is entitled to double his daily wage in addition to his wage for this day.
 
On this occasion, the Minister of Labor congratulated all the workers and people of Egypt and the valiant armed forces, stressing that this glorious victory rediscovered the Egyptian nation’s capabilities in facing challenges and creating miracles through the sacrifices and heroism offered by its people.
