CAIRO - 30 September 2023: The “Story of a Homeland: Between vision and achievement” conference will kick off Saturday and continue until next October 2 at the Al-Massa Hotel in the New Capital, under the patronage and presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, as well as a large number of representatives of Egyptian society with its various sectors, experts and specialists in various fields.
The conference includes holding a number of round circles and plenary sessions during which a comprehensive presentation of available information is presented about the achievements and projects that have been implemented over the past years, as well as the challenges facing the country.
During the conference, the political leadership also will respond to citizens' inquiries in various political, social and economic fields.
The conference comes within the framework of the political leadership’s keenness to activate community participation and enhance dialogue with citizens, especially youth, and their role in supporting the government’s efforts to implement national projects and economic development plans.
What will happen during the conference?
The first day will witness important sessions focusing on economic axes, with the participation of senior ministers. Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, will attend. These sessions address government policies and programs in supporting the Egyptian economy.
As for the second day, it will witness sessions focusing on the energy and infrastructure sectors, with the participation of Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. During these sessions, large national projects and infrastructure development efforts will be discussed.
While the third and final day witnesses sessions will focus on the areas of foreign policy and national security, attended by Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Counselor Omar Marwan, Minister of Justice, and Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior. During these sessions, issues of national security and international relations will be discussed.
Regarding the sessions dedicated to social justice and health, they will witness the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and Dr. Nevin Al-Qabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity.
The activities of the conference will conclude with a closing session that brings together senior officials to review the results of the conference and future directions for development in Egypt.
