Russian FM, Egyptian ambassador opens exhibition of historical photos and documents in Moscow

CAIRO – 28 September 2023: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Egyptian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Nazih El-Nagary inaugurated an exhibition of historical photos and documents on the occasion of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries On September 25, , according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In his speech, the Russian Foreign Minister stressed the historical relations between Egypt and Russia, highlighting the joint cooperation between the two countries during the construction of the High Dam.

He noted that the relations of the two countries have always been characterized by mutual respect and keenness to achieve common interests.

For his part, the Egyptian Ambassador stressed that the relationship between the two countries is of diverse dimensions and its roots go back several decades, in addition to the important developments it has witnessed in recent years.

Egyptian ambassador also noted that this cooperation is not limited to only the political and economic aspects, but extends to various cultural and humanitarian ones between the Egyptian and Russian peoples.
