Sameh Al-Khashin appointed as Spokesperson of Egypt's Cabinet

CAIRO – 28 September 2023:  Sameh Al-Khashin has been appointed as the Egyptian spokesperson for the Cabinet, succeeding Ambassador Nader Saad, who was also appointed as an ambassador of Egypt to Bulgaria, and a non-resident ambassador to North Macedonia, the Cabinet announced in a statement on Thursday.

Al-Khashin holds a Master’s degree in political science from the American University in Cairo, and then joined the diplomatic corps in 2004, the cabinet added.

He also previously worked at the Egyptian Embassy in Central Africa, the Egyptian Permanent Delegation to the United Nations in Geneva, the Egyptian Permanent Delegation to the United Nations in New York, and the Egyptian diplomatic mission in Tehran.

In addition to this, Al-Khashin worked in the General Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in crisis management and political planning; the affairs of specialized international agencies; department of affairs of disarmament and peaceful uses of nuclear energy, climate and environment, and sustainable development.
