National Museum of Egyptian Civilization lit up in Orange

CAIRO - 18 September 2023: The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization lit up its facade in orange, in celebration of World Patient Safety Day, which is celebrated on September 17 of each year.
 
The museum is proud to show its support and raise the level of awareness for this important issue as an institution that cares about patient safety, and the need to emphasize the importance of the museum’s role in spreading knowledge and awareness of all issues and topics that concern citizens.
 
This year's celebration comes in cooperation between the museum, the World Health Organization, and the Ministry of Health and Population.
 
Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Museum Authority, confirmed that the museum’s participation in such occasions confirms the museum’s keenness to participate in such activities as a reminder of the importance of taking the necessary steps for patient safety, pointing out that this year’s celebration focuses on medication safety as an essential part of patient safety. 
 
Ghoneim added that it is a good opportunity to educate citizens about the importance of preventing diseases and reducing their risks, and to encourage community members to take care and pay attention to health in general.
 
Fayrouz Fikri, Executive Vice President of the Museum Authority for Administration and Operation, said that the museum administration is keen to ensure that citizens’ health and care are among the basic topics covered by the various activities it presents.
