Egypt ‘s Minister of Environment closes one of Dahab’s beaches after shark attack

CAIRO – 13 September 2023: Egypt’s Minister of Environment, Yasmine Fouad announced Wednesday the closure of one of Dahab’s beaches [famous Red Sea city in South Sinai] after an Egyptian woman was attacked by a shark.

Fouad, confirmed that a decision was made with the South Sinai Governorate.

The minister also directed the natural reserve work team in South Sinai to form an urgent committee to evaluate the situation and determine the causes of the shark attack.

After following up on the condition of the injured citizen, the medical authorities reported that her health condition had stabilized and that all immediate aid had been administered to her, and her health condition was being monitored immediately.
