Egypt, Equatorial Guinea mull agricultural integration

CAIRO – 13 September 2023: Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Al Sayed al-Qusair presented to Speaker of the Senate of Equatorial Guinea Teresa Efua Asangono Egypt's experience in the sector in a bid to achieve integration between the two countries.

Asangono pointed out that Equatorial Guinea was rich with fertile lands. Yet, they need modern technology in order to boost their productivity, especially in terms of export capabilities. And, that is the area where Egypt can help.

On his side, Qusair said that Egypt could assist with growing crops, animal and pourtly production, establishing greenhouses, introducing high-yielding variety seeds, supplying vaccines, fish farming, and delivering training to workers in the sector. He also stressed the necessity of boosting agricultural trade exchange, inviting his counterpart to visit for holding talks.
